MISSION
President
Dr. Tonya Pass is the President and CEO of You Need to Know Ministries. She has worked in the social work capacity in Hampton Roads for nearly 30 years. She holds a Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) degree and both her Bachelors (BSW) and Masters of Social Work (MSW) Degrees. She has worked with children and families throughout her career. She is a retired Human Resources Officer and continues to work as an associate professor and Senior Pastor.
Vice President
Falandius Pass serves as the Vice President. He is a retired Chief from the United States Coast Guard and a retired civilian employee with the Coast Guard. He uses his technology gift to give back to the community by restoring computers for families who would not ordinarily be able to afford to purchase or service one in the standard market. He also provides entry-level computer training to Seniors, youth, and individuals who want to enhance their social functioning through technology. His hands-on approach provides an atmosphere for self-pace learning in the following areas: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and phone applications.
Board Member / Community
Deborah Carlos is a State certified Doula. She is a community based doula through Urban Baby Beginnings and a Birth doula through DONA International. She currently offers doula services, childbirth education classes and community groups through The Up Center.
You Need to Know Ministries is passionate about serving individuals and families. Following the ministry has influenced my personal growth and development in outreach efforts with helping others to become all that God has created them to be.
